Abstract

The present development work represents a contribution to the solution of various problems arising from the practical implementation of a Nd-YAG laser intrabuilding distribution system. An appropriate optical fiber has been cabled and characterized. Special connections between the cable and the piece of fiber to be used in the operating room have been tested. Experiments of laser treatments on specimen of human carothides have been done with side radiation optical fibers.
