Abstract
In Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) composed of sensor nodes with location mobility, most wireless sensor nodes use batteries as their power and have limited energy, so designing energy-conserving routing protocols is crucial for the long-term reliable operation of mobile WSNs. SPIN-PP is a simple energy-conserving plat routing protocol, however, it is for fixed sensor nodes. To satisfy the requirement of saving energy for mobile WSN, this study is carried out. Aiming at the situation of random movement of sensor nodes, based on the idea of plat routing protocol, this paper adopts the strategy of mobile sink node (sink) and uses the method of vector projection to obtain the optimal trajectory of the sink node, so as to decrease the total energy consumption of communication. The simulation results show that, compared with SPIN-PP protocol, the proposed method has great advantages in conserving energy and node runtime in a period.
