Dr. Daniel Ceballos-Herrera

He received the B.Sc. degree in physical engineering from the Autonomous University of Yucatán, Mérida, México, in 2003, the M.Sc. degree in optics from the National Institute for Astrophysics, Optics, and Electronics (INAOE), Puebla, México, in 2005, and the Ph.D. degree in optics from the Centro de Investigaciones en Óptica A.C., León, México, in 2009. He was a posdoctoral researcher at the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, Spain in 2010-2011. Currently, Dr. Daniel is working as researcher at the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León, México. His research interests are the development of fiber-optic devices based in photonic crystal fibers and the design of optical fiber sensors and nonlinear plasmonic waveguides.
