Abstract
Photographic image processing is currently among the fastest grossing areas of information processing. Problems in fields ranging from biomedicine to photoreconnaissance are currently being attacked, using both analog and digital techniques. Most investigators agree that the digital approach is much more work-able, except in cases where vast numbers of points have to be handled and computer time and or storage locations become a limiting factor.
