Abstract
Selected parallel pipelined signal processing architectures are reviewed. These architectures are discussed in terms of the algorithms used and the methods of implementation whether analog or digital. The role of systolic arrays and wavefront processors in implementing matrix computations is discussed. Future directions of research are indicated.
