9 February 1987 Optimizing Angular Deviation For Fixed-Deviation Monochromators Modified By Use Of Aberration-Reduced Holographic Gratings

Abstract
Using a numerical optimization procedure, we investigate the Seya-Namioka 35° minimum for constant-deviation monochromators. We obtain the expected geometry for monochromators which use straight-grooved gratings, but find that the addition of holography changes the optimal geometry.
