Abstract
Nonlinear optical spectroscopies and microscopies offer a number of advantages compared to their linear counterparts. In a particular example of coherent Raman and Brillouin microscopies, they both afford substantially stronger signals enhanced by coherent excitation and much better sectioning capabilities due to the nonlinear nature of optical interactions. In this report, we demonstrate how both coherent Raman spectroscopy and coherent Brillouin spectroscopy can be combined together for simultaneous assessment of local chemical and physical properties.
