Abstract
We have demonstrated enhancement of measurement function in Brillouin Optical Correlation Domain Reflectometry (BOCDR) by totally combining, for the first time, four performance improvement schemes, which are double modulation scheme, temporal gating scheme, intensity modulation scheme, and phase modulation scheme. We have achieved distributed strain measurement with 10.1cm spatial resolution, over 5,280m measurement range, and 7,000μƐ strain dynamic range. The number of effective sensing points is over 52,200, which is the best result in BOCDR with wide strain dynamic range. We have also demonstrated the measurement with 3.94cm resolution over 5,280m range. The number of effective sensing points is over 134,000, which is the best result in all the BOCDR experiments reported so far.
