Abstract
Metasurface is a kind of matematerials with only two-dimensional distribution. By carefully arranging the shape and size of each subwavelength antenna, the amplitude, phase, and polarization of reemitted light from the antenna can be artificially control. Eight antennas with same amplitude modulation and different phase modulation are selected to construct different devices. The phase modulations are selected as in the range of 0 to 2π with a step of π/4. Several devices, such as lens, holograms, pure phase elements, are designed, fabricated, and characterized in the terahertz range. Experiment results demonstrate the validity of this new approach.
