Abstract
For new developments in projector technology, an evaluation method for image quality is necessary, and luminance uniformity is an especially important factor of image quality. When evaluating the luminance uniformity of a projector, it is necessary to adopt various average luminance levels. We propose a new method that is based on the method for evaluating the brightness uniformity of printed images. Experimental results show that the evaluation scores based on our method show better agreement with subjective scores than those based on the conventional method for display luminance uniformity.
