Abstract

A novel method for active laser diode stabilization is described. The input for the control loop is taken from an external common path Jamin interferometer by differential detection of the fringe pattern. Theoretical and practical limitations are discussed with experimental results indicating laser stabilization capabilities better than one part in 10⁸.
