Abstract
In this work a custom direct ray tracing software providing accurate simulations of multiple mirrors setups is demonstrated. Therefore multipass cells and optical cavities with specific properties can be developed and tested before fabrication. A genetic algorithm was implemented to automate the design process. Various parameters such as initial geometry, optical path length and thermal stability can be defined as the boundary conditions for the genetic algorithm based design process.
