Abstract
This paper presents an investigation of CCD camera photo-response nonuniformity (PRNU) with a laser-plasma soft X-ray (SXR) source operating at the “water window” (WW) region (2.3 - 4.4 nm). We have investigated a scientific X-ray CCD camera including a high quantum efficiency back-illuminated CCD sensor. As a radiation source, a compact, nitrogen laser-plasma SXR source based on a double stream gas puff target was employed. A Ti filter is used to enable a single line of the radiation at 2.88 nm in the WW spectral range. PRNU and other CCD camera noise characteristics are estimated on the basis of experimental data. The image subtraction method is applied for noise components estimation. The obtained test results are widely presented and discussed.
