Abstract
The paper presents an optical model of a shock wave, which is formed by supersonic air flow around a body of an aerodynamic shape. The mean values of the flow parameters were calculated using the CFD Fluent 6.0 software package, taking into account the compressibility of the gas. The results of numerical simulation of the propagation of an optical beam transmitted through a shock wave at the beginning of the path and then propagating in a homogeneous medium and a turbulent atmosphere under various turbulent conditions of light propagation are presented.
