Abstract
Under solar-pumped laser with Fresnel lens, the measured distribution of focused sunlight is different from the solar spectra, the peak value of spectral intensity shifts from 500 nm to 650 nm. The lifetime of Nd laser upper level for Cr/Nd:YAG ceramic is developed by comparing rate equations for the Cr and Nd ions with the equivalent rate equation for Nd ions. The lifetime of Nd laser upper level excited by tunable pulsed dye laser between 579nm and 601nm is measured, and this value correlated well with calculated results when Cr3+ and Nd3+ is excited at the same time.
