Abstract
In the free-space diffraction of light field, the orbital angular momentum (OAM) is expected to keep constant. However, in pneumatic turbulent flow, the expected value of orbital angular momentum(OAM) of light changes due to the existence of the internal quasi-ordered structure of the turbulence. Based on the result of direct numerical calculations of turbulence, the interaction between local quasi-order structure and the OAM of optical field in the flow field is discussed. The result of numerical calculations shows that the pure phase disturbance caused by the inhomogeneous media has less influence on the OAM, yet the amplitude disturbance is the main cause of the change of the expectation of the OAM of the light field.
