Abstract
Automated round-the-clock measurements were carried out in November 2019 till February 2020 with artificial humidification and heating of the aerosol collected from the atmosphere. The parameter of condensation activity γ, which characterizes the variability of the scattering coefficient with variations in relative humidity, and the thermo-optical parameters determined by the decrease in the volume concentration of particles in the corresponding temperature range were analyzed. The diurnal behavior of γ is characterized by a maximum at 5-9 a.m., exceeding the average daily value by ~10% and a minimum at 8-10 p.m. (also ~10%). In the evening, the fraction of substances volatilizing at temperatures of 100-250°C also decreases and the fraction of substances evaporating at T <100°C increases.
