Abstract
Stability tests were performed on three types of tests setups -- a multimode setup with a laser, a multimode setup with a light emitting diode, and a singlemode setup with a laser. Each of the setups used a coupler for source monitoring. The multimode setup with 'a laser was postulated to be affected by modal noise. Also, stability as a function of ambient temperature changes was examined in the singlemode setup.
