Abstract
Drone is known as a small and flexible green vehicle and is a potential contributor in improving efficiency in the field of inspection, however, due to the limited battery life of drone and the lack of relevant solutions, drone has not been widely used in the field of inspection. For this reason, we base our routing planning for drone patrols on existing base stations, to ease the difficulties of the limited battery life of drones, expand the scope of patrol, and vigorously promote the work mode of drone patrolling in the later stage. Unlike the simple vehicle routing problem, however, designing drone’s vehiclerouting is a challenging due to the problem of drone cannot go back to the initial base station. Therefore, we construct a mathematical model to solve the problem, and then a small calculation example is solved with CPLEX to verify the applicability of the model. Finally, based on our research results, it can have a certain reference value for the later promotion of the application of drones in the field of drone patrol.
