1 May 1990 Techniques for high-quality fringe generation

Abstract
Methods for obtaining low noise, straight, uniform fringes with a grating interferometer are described. It is shown that straight, uniform fringes can be obtained exactly, even when the interfering beams are not collimated, but are diverging.
