Abstract
In chirped-pulse amplification (CPA) system, the stretcher affects aberration, spatial chirp and temporal contrast of the outgoing beam. In the ideal case, the double grating structure with cylindrical mirrors can greatly reduce the aberration of the Offner stretcher, the temporal contrast and the Strehl ratio (SR) can be greatly improved. On this basis, Zhongshan Photon Science expands the cylindrical Offner stretcher (COS) to 4 paths by adding a turn back system. The turn back system uses 3 mirrors to eliminate the spatial chirp of COS by the reversibility of optical paths. In this paper, we replace the turn back system with two mirrors at a specific angle, which improves the alignment error tolerance of the stretcher to SR on the premise of maintaining the original low spatial chirp. Some ideas of assembly and adjustment of this structure are presented.
