Abstract
Forest products can sequester carbon as well as living plants. Therefore, we can maximize carbon sequestration by appropriately cutting trees and it is quite necessary to study the optimal forest management plan. Firstly, this paper studies how to determine the amount of carbon dioxide that forest and its products can sequester through mathematical analysis, which contributes to making a forest management plan with the aim of maximizing carbon sequestration. Nevertheless, we propose a comprehensive evaluation model. We establish indicators form from multiple aspects and then employ the entropy weight method(EWM) and the coefficient of variation method to calculate the weights of the first-level and second-level indicators respectively.
