Abstract
The problem of getting holograms of microscopic structures is considered, so as to apply the three-dimensional properties of holograms to biological specimens. Some optical holographic techniques are studied, pointing out problems concerning vision far from the microscope axis. A digital reconstruction method is proposed, with the aim of improving the lateral vision. Some images of optical microholograms are reported and the image formation theory is discussed in order to achieve a digital reconstruction.
