Abstract
Nowadays climate change is processing at an accelerated rate, and animals’ responses to it are also frequently discussed. rove forests as thriving habitats for many animals have been studied a lot. Nevertheless, the specialized study of snakes in mangrove forests and their responses to climate change are not concentrated. In this study, firstly the direct consequences of climate change in mangrove forests are analyzed. Then, the responses of snakes in mangrove forests including the weakened olfactory discrimination and cutaneous respiratory, evolutionary changes, expanding activity period, declining productivity, and less fitted offspring are discussed, followed by the summary of a declining trend of distribution and biomass. Climate change has various influences which cooperate with multiple other factors such as the mangrove species, biomass, and biodiversity of microorganisms. In order to figure out the accurate responses to specific climate changes, further research is expected to be more specialized on particular species of snakes in one area to conduct control experiments.
