Abstract
Microchips have attracted more and more attention due to their easy structural design and simple operation, and are widely used in a diverse of different fields, such as biomedicine, chemical industry, environmental monitoring, etc. This research presents the development of microchips in various biomolecule detection. The biomolecules contain the detection of lipid, proteins, DNA and RNA. Besides part of these biomolecule can be detected in various ways like microfluidic based labon- a-chip systems because these biomolecules have different features in physics and chemical for their own. Due to the structures of the microchips which also matters a lot in detection, the procedure of fabricating a few chips also be illustrated, and this essay also describes some applications of the detection in the area of proteomics and peptidomics, detection of virus and so on. In addition, compared with conventional ways, these approaches show great advantages in accuracy, speed, cost and some other aspects.
