Abstract
In view of the current situation that the design of fuze shear sheets safety mechanism is mainly based on experience, the theoretical analysis and numerical simulation of shear resistance and arming characteristics of fuze shear sheets safety mechanism is proposed. Firstly, the analytical relationship between shear resistance and the material and structural geometrical parameters of shear sheets is derived by theoretical analysis. Then, the simulation research is carried out on the arming characteristics, i.e., failure process, of the fuze shear sheets safety mechanism adopting commercial software ABAQUS, and the relationship between the material and structural dimension parameters of shear sheets and the shear resistance is verified. Finally, the design method of shear sheets is proposed based on analytic relationship. The comparisons between theoretical calculations and numerical simulations show that they are in good agreement. In addition, there is a linear relationship between shear resistance and material yield strength, thickness and out-of-plane chamfering of the shear sheets. When the shear resistance design value of the shear sheets is between 300 N and 600 N, for the shear sheets with out-of-plane chamfer of 0.1mm and thickness of 0.22 mm to 0.32 mm, the design range of the material yield strength is 125MPa~331MPa; for the shear sheets with thickness of 0.3mm and out-of-plane chamfer of 0.1 mm to 0.2 mm, the design range of yield strength of the material is 105 MPa~260 MPa. The research results of this paper provide significant guidance for the engineering design of shear sheets.
