Abstract

The experimental results of laser welding of dissimilar alloys between Mg-Li and Ti alloy with different LSOs show that the IMC around the interface of LZ91 and TC4 improves the bonding strength of the BMs. When the LSO is -0.2mm, Mg₁₇Al₁₂ in the weld is evenly distributed in the α-Mg and β-Li solid solutions. At this time, the average microhardness and the tensile strength of the weld joint provided acceptable performance, 73.05HV and 124.06MPa, respectively.
