Abstract
The major design considerations encountered in adapting the DAP-510 processor with GaAs and the operational improvements of the GaAs high-speed parallel processor are presented. Studies indicate that the DAP-510 unit is capable of processing radio navigation signals in dense environments exceeding 100,000 pulses/sec. The processor comprises 1024 single-bit, concurrent processor elements arranged in a 32- by 32-element array. The processor memory is designed to have 65,536 bit planes of data memory and 1 Mbyte of instruction memory.
