Abstract
The results of spectroscopic and laser studies of YLF-Ho crystals as the active media for multiwavelength lasers are reported here. The output energies for O. 75p and 2. 9 laser wavelengths at room temperatures and flashlamp pumping were measured for the first time. The temperature dependence of the threshold pump energy for a wavelength region from 0. 75 to 2. 9p was demonstrated. The influence of the concentration effects and the up-conversion processes on laser output under high pumping energy was studied. Output energies of 30 mJ and 46 mi were obtained at O. 75j and 2. 95p respectively. 1.
