Abstract

A new tracking system has been designed for the spot target in infrared image sequences. An MLE method for estimating the target position and a differential method for the target displacement estimation were investigated. An image sequence filter has been introduced in this system, to improve the estimation of target image function in real time. Monte-Carlo experiments have been done to evaluate the system, and it is shown that the system works steadily with high accuracy.
