Abstract
The technology and system applications of high speed OEIC transmitters are discussed in this paper. By integrating .DFB lasers with lnGaAs/InAIAs MODFETs, transmitters of 10 Gb/s and wavelength spacings less than 1 nm are fabricated. The problems of crosstalk in OEIC transmitter arrays are also investigated.
