Abstract
Scanning cameras have been widely used in machine inspection. Color sensors are required to provide sufficient scene information to develop intelligent recognition algorithm. This paper describes the performance of a color linear sensor which can provide photographic quality images. We have also used a digital scanner with this color sensor to evaluate its potential in the application of traffic line recognition.
