Abstract
The use of high transition temperature superconductors as a temperature sensor in microbolometers is discussed. The relatively low resistivities of these materials near the transition temperature is an issue to be considered when designing an impedance-matched antenna-detector system. The composite microbolometer design is discussed which deals with this issue.
