Abstract
A single disk window cooled at the edge for 1 MW class and CW RF power with a HE ii mode in a corrugated waveguide is under development. In a window assembly available in the high power test, 13 K of the disk temperature has been achieved by using a compact cryo-refrigerator. 7 W of the cooling capacity of the window assembly was obtained at around 30 K. Thermal analysis of the window disk predicts its operation available for 110 GHz and 1 MW RF power in the steady state.
