Abstract
A new calculation procedure, based on the Green's function analysis combined with the transfer matrix technique, for harmonic generation from multilayered structures has been developed. This method avoids tedious calculations needed in the existing methods and greatly facilitates the calculation of harmonic generation from complex structures. The new method has been applied to the analysis of reflected second-harmonic waves from GaP/A1P multilayered structures. An application to a newly proposed highly efficient SHG device is also presented.
