Abstract
Amino acids Pro, Val and dipeptides Pro-Thr, Val-Thr and Phe-Leu, protected by t- butyloxycarbonyl (Boc) and methylamino (CH3 - NH) or methoxy groups have been investigated as models for the study of similarly protected oligopeptides. Vapor, solution (chloroform, DMSO, trifluoroethanol) and solid phase FTIR spectra were recorded. This part of a series of papers deals with the interpretation of vapor phase spectra with the use of Fourier-self deconvolution and curve fitting techniques.
