Abstract
This paper is aimed to solve the problems arising from Fourier transform profilometry ( FTP) for the measurement of 3-D large object shapes, After analysing the problems respectively, the solution methods for these problems are proposed. Three problems are discussed, how to select the optical system in large 3-D measurement, how to design the FIR filter with high selectivity, how to calibrate the coordinates of the measured data. In fact, the ideas and methods proposed in this paper are a supplement to FTP.
