Abstract
There are a lot of experimental and theoretical papers concerning the description of spectral and energetic propertiesof tunable, pulsed, optically pumped FIR lasers, based on the density matrix approach. It was shown /1/ that 3- and 4-levelmodels cannot adequately describe all the processes which take place in the active laser medium.
