Abstract
The optical control of millimeter waves in the silicon image and H-guides were investigated. Theoptical control of the dispersion characteristics of those guides were confirmed both theoretically andexperimentally using the Xenon arc lamp. To increase the sensitivity of the optical control of the imageline filter, the Mach-Zehnder interferometer type filter was demonstrated experimentally. To obtain theswitching behaviour of the radiation beam from the H-guide leaky wave antenna, the Bragg type antennacascaded with the optical switching element was also demonstrated experimentally.
