Abstract
Imaging time-tagging photon detectors are active development for a wide range of high-time resolution applications including real-time image stabilization and analysis, and speckle interferometry and speckle image reconstruction. This paper reviews the different classes of imaging time-tagging detector systems and their performance characteristics. Probable areas for future developments of time-tagging detector systems and their components are outlined.
