30 September 1994 Design and fabrication of a three-mirror, flat-field anastigmat for high-resolution earth observation

Abstract
In June 1993, REOSC got the contract for the optical fabrication of a Three Mirror Anastigmat (TMA) for a high resolution space camera of 1-meter focal length, F/4 relative aperture and +/- 2.125 by +/- 0.425 degrees object field angle. After having shown the various advantages of such type of optics, we will discuss the issues of design, fabrication, alignment, and testing of such a system. TMA are a promising type of optical systems that can constitute performant upgrades of present earth observation projects. Preliminary test results will be discussed.
