Abstract
Superluminescent light-emitting diodes (SLD) and modules are now widely used for different types of fiber optic sensors, especially fiber-optic gyros and white-light interferometer sensors. The main parameters of SLDs are output power, spectrum width and residual spectral modulation (ripple).
