Abstract
We describe a fiber Bragg grating laser sensor which utilizes a read-out interferometer for detecting weak measurand induced wavelength shifts in the lasing wavelength. The advantages of the system include simple 'in-line' sensor design, high sensitivity, and the capability to support multiple sensors from a single pump laser using wavelength division multiplexing.
