22 August 1995 Image information compression in the image recognition process: medical example

Abstract
The effectiveness of image recognition methods is strongly dependent on the process of intelligent image information compression. This paper presents the Radon-Fourier transformation as a tool for this task. It is shown that only two slices of Radon-Fourier transformation are sufficient to classify the set of medical images. Some classification results for one transformation slice are presented. These results are compared with full 2D Fourier transformation processing.
