25 March 1996Holographic interferometry for polymer pipes vibration analysis
In this paper we present the results of analytical examination of long pipe oscillations. The study performed the characteristics of the oscillations, based on solution of a system of the wave equations for surface displacement. The pipe under the consideration is an elastic cylindrical shell. The oscillations are initiated by an externally applied loading force, that has a form of short-acting pulse. The results obtained are compared with experimental data from interferometric analysis of a 6m long polymer pipe.
