Abstract
The energy states of 3d impurities in heterostructures are considered. It is shown that the reduced dimensionality of the electronic states of spatially quantized layers results in essential change of the optical spectra of these impurities in comparison with bulk semiconductors. It is shown also that these centers can create additional channels of resonant tunneling in doped quantum structures.
