27 February 1997Neutron-induced photon response of an NE213 scintillation detector
The response of an NE213 scintillator has been determined for photons induced in the detector assembly by neutrons with energies between 1 MeV and 16 MeV. Coupled MCNP4A/EGS4 Monte Carlo simulations were compared and adjusted to experimental data. The complete set of response matrices for neutrons, photons and neutron induced photons was then used to determined the spectral neutron and photon fluence of 239Pu/13C and 241Am/9Be sources.
