30 September 1996 Transmission loss in extinction test

Abstract
The problems in the extinction test for transmission losses are analyzed. According to laser transmissions theory, the laser rangefinder's comprehensive range ability equation and the transmission loss equation are derived. And the relationships between transmission losses and visibility are verified.
