Abstract
Two types of thin films with magnetic properties were deposited using XeCl excimer laser ablation. Mn-Zn ferrite films were deposited on Al2O3 substrates and perovskite-like films of La0.8Sr0.2MnO3 were deposited on Si substrates. The properties of stoichiometric Y3Fe5O12 thin films prepared by KrF excimer laser ablation of targets were investigated. It was revealed that magnetic properties strongly depended on the crystal structure of three types of substrates used. The influence of processing conditions on the magnetic properties was investigated. Magnetic properties wee analyzed using vibrating sample magnetometer. The laser-induced plume optical emission was examined. Ellipsometry was utilized for optical constants measurements.
