Abstract
The model supported positioning project was initiated to develop an automatic process for the control of imagery. Imagery is controlled using a rigorous photogrammetric process to adjust the image support data. Because the process of locating the control in the image and adjusting the image support data is fully automatic, processes must be put in place to insure adequate distribution of control in the image as well as a capability to check the accuracy resultant controlled imagery. Additionally, since the control is located in the image using an automatic vector to image matching technique, a process must be put in place to assess the accuracy of the measured point in the image. This paper addresses the approaches taken to incorporate these processes within the model supported positioning prototype.
